Fuji Single Grain Whiskey is a blend of three different grain whiskeys produced at Mt. Fuji Distillery. Those different grain whiskies are distilled in three different methods and possess their own unique flavour profiles: Bourbon type; heavier, rich, floral fruity style, Canadian type; medium, luscious, and delicately fruity style, and Scotch type; lighter, soft, yet compelling. This Fuji Single Grain whiskey features the quintessential characteristics of each of the three types of grain whiskeys. On the nose, aromas of poached pear, rustic fruit tart, Cognac and marron glacé. Water brings out red berries and a delicate spiciness reminiscent of rye bread and cinnamon. The palate has a smooth mouthfeel with multi-layered flavours of poached pear, orange marmalade, raspberry jam, spiciness of rye, and bitter chocolate. Finishes mellow with gentle sweetness and pleasant spiciness, smooth and moderately long aftertaste with a hint of exotic incense. Gold Medal winner at the International Spirits Challenge 2020.
